So, three months and three days ago, I posted my first blog. Was I proud of it? Of course. I had never done anything like that before and I was happily surprised with the result.
Why on Earth did I not continue? Well, my first blog had a point to it. I was poking fun at blogging, whilst actually taking part. I was commenting about trends and fads, through the medium of a trend. It took me half an hour or so to write it and then edited after that. Something about posting your first blog inspires you to do a bang-up job. Or, it did for me at least.
Next day, I go to write Blog Post Number Two. My fingers won't move though. They're poised over the keyboard, waiting for inspiration to hit but... it doesn't. There was some insane pressure to write something clever and witty, on the off chance that someone might read it.
Like hell.
No one is reading this and, if they got to this page, they would have skipped on by. I'm almost certain. Therefore, no pressure to be witty and clever. Thank f*ck for that.
It was watching The Social Network that brought me back here. Seeing the character of Mark Zuckerberg post whatever skewed and misshapen thoughts popped into his mind was nothing short of motivational. He proved that anyone can write anything they fancy and hit Post. (They just need to be wary of the fallout, should they invent an worldwide internet phenomenon.)
So, here, without editing and only one read-through, ends my tired, less-impressive, second post.
Sorry.
But I'm not that worried. You're not reading anyway...
